Jan, 17th 13:25
European markets opened lower on Wednesday, as investors eyed the release of euro zone inflation data due later in the day.
Earnings updates and dealmaking activity drove the biggest share price moves in Europe as the broader market followed U.S. stocks lower, after a strong start to the year.
The EURO STOXX 50 slipped 0.08%, France’s CAC 40 fell 0.15%, while Germany’s DAX 30 was down 0.02% by 09:49 GMT.
On the technical charts, the DAX30 is trading in the positive zone and above all the moving averages (9day,20 day, 50 day, 100 day and 200 day). The RSI is at 53.92 and the MACD is above the signal line.
